Wow, we can’t believe how quickly Christmas has crept up on us. With less than 3 weeks to go, there’s plenty to see and do to get you in the mood for a cosy, warm holiday season.

First up, The Eden Project has their annual festivities well under way with a magical display. Discover the twinkling Med Biome with their Big Band playing all your seasonal favourites. Wander around the enchanting Rainforest awash with colourful lighting and illuminated waterfall. You can even meet Santa when he visits this year.

Pre-booking is essential and more information can be found on their website edenproject.com

Mousehole Harbour Lights

Following the cancellation of the 2020 lights display, the Mousehole Harbour Lights are having a “soft switch on” meaning they are not having a dedicated ceremony, however the lights will be illuminated as they are completed during their installation. This is to assist in the social distancing and avoidance of a crowd in the confined harbour.

St Ive’s Christmas Farmers Market

The weekly Thursday Farmers Market at The Guildhall goes festive for it’s seasonal event. Perfect for last minute local gifts or for stocking up on authentic locally made Cornish produce.

The  Christmas Farmers Market is on the 20th December.

Last minute shopping for those stocking fillers

St Ives is a superb destination for Christmas shopping and ideal gifts for stocking fillers. From a vast arrangement of shops offering a huge variety of gifts, clothing and household items. With the picture-perfect surroundings, St Ives is also the perfect backdrop for a post-shop drink in many of the cafes around the harbour.

This year there is a traditional window display competition running adding to the ambience.
